ahh gotta show the new gear
Jackson Dinky DKMG, used, about 10 years old....both my babies here...
Bass is my first love, but I want to learn more. Back in school, I was the brass freak...tuba, trumpet, trombone, baritone...played 'em all. Tuba ruled though. Teacher's got it right now...I kinda miss it lol...gettin it all set up, new strings and all that...
(few months later, i'm not very good but i still play around with the Jackie, I still intend to learn to play something on it lol)

Hey Kossie, Missed ya!!
Yeah The Warwick is INCREDIBLE. I love it so much, hell of a sound. I threw some Warwick Black Label strings on it, it is a sweet bass. I'm changing the chrome hardware to black, it just looks better.
I've learned so much with it, I'm still working on lessons of course, that'll never stop...but I've learned a few tunes, worked up a good technique....moving fast is sort of my problem, my hand is slow...if I ever play metal, it'll be awhile...but I'm doing well. I know it's the player that controls the bass, but a good bass inspires...If it wasn't for my Warwick I probably wouldn't be playing.
As for the guitar, Early next year I'll start learning. May grab a book to learn basic stuff, play around with it. My teacher went through it, new strings, intonation, checked everything and put it through the ringer and it played true, stays in tune with Floyd use which is great. Jackson makes a good axe. I should look into their basses

new toy
it's a cheap bass, but i liked it. it'll be upgraded like hell but so far only added new pickguard, old was mirror ...tacky. and my crow decal. unlike my first squier, this one is solid wood,(agathis) no plywood at least. i checked. i put Warwick strings on, much better sound... I like the P bass body, like the Jazz neck (p necks are a little wider)...matched stock...i hate ugly fender/squier unfinished stocks...this was matching + P & J pickups.
