Hey, Great topic!!! I really like Helloween's early stuff, and unlike most bands, their new stuff is just getting better! I also like that they have fun with their lyrics and music. There should be fun in metal, why not? Devin Townsend and Dethklok keep proving that...
Anyway, I really think the past three Helloween albums have been really, really great. "Gambling with the Devil" was really cool, then they released "Unarmed". I loved Unarmed, hearing them play their classics in different musical styles was really cool! A lot of fans backlashed that album, becuase it wasn't heavy, but so what? God damn it was cool of them to do it! Real musicians trying something differenent and fun.
And yeah, Are You Metal was cool. 7 Sinners has been out a while now, and its also a really great album. Its really heavy for Helloween, lots of kinda 'angular' riffs. And there's a flute solo on track 4!!! And doing a follow up to Perfect Gentleman with Mr Madman! Hahahaha, I love em!!
