Well, a new topic, I guess that we are from all over the world . I live in New Zealand and was introduced to Tarot by my daughter. I have been a metal head from my youth ,I am 50 years old and would love to know where the rest of you are from. Looking forward to finding out

I am from Finland and I was introduced to Tarot by my big brother in 1986.

I'm from the Netherlands and I was introduced to Tarot through Nightwish, but first by a little D-tour through Sinergy. Saw Marco play with Sinergy on a Nightwish DVD...(From wishes to eternity)

HI I'm from Hungary!!!
I can't remember how did it happend, but it was years ago... when I heard them first, but I known they are one of THE BEST!
I pay attention to Marco's musical workers.
But I'm on the beginning of this...
Slowly but surely
But I'm grateful to him and to his companions for this music and life.

I'm an Aussie too. I'm married to a Fin so have been introduced to lots of Finnish bands. I'm another one in the Southern Hemisphere.

More of us turning up at the enz of the earth. My daughter hopes to go to Finland next year as an exchange student. She is a big fan of several Finnish bands, that is what really started my interest in Tarot and Nightwish. I like Apocalyptica as well. HIM are coming to NZ at the end of this month so we are off to see them, the closestI will get to any Finnish band in my lifetime I think

vampyr50, I hope your daughter does get to go. Finland is an awesome country. One of my daughters did part of year 9 over there and she loved it. The kids were really nice. Most of them spoke English, and the school was wonderful to her too. She was a bit of a novelty being an Australian.

My daughter is very determined , and has been saving very hard, she has a part time job after school and one day in the weekend, and does extra work around our home so I think she will make it. She will be in year 12 next year, she is learning Finnish once a week . I think it will be a great opportunity for her, but as she is my youngest child and the only one of my 3 children still at home, it will be very hard to let her go. I hope all of her dreams come true and she gets to see bands like Tarot and Nightwish live. We are a long way from the rest of the world here.

Exchanges are a great experience. I went on an exchange to Germany (just as good as Finland for music I reckon ) a couple years ago just before year 12 for 2 months. I regret not seeing any good bands while I was over there (Dream Theater played the day I left ) But it was over there that I learnt of many bands and meeting a lot of new friends grew my love of metal and music in general! They say exchanges change a person, and I think those changes are really for the better. You have a great time too!
I hope your daughter gets to do it, and I definately recommend her to try out snowboarding, its the best fun ever! Goodluck!
